Essential Library Information for Off Campus & Online Students: Set Yourself Up

STEP 2. Obtain your student card

A student card is created for you at enrolment.
We will take your photo for you and print you out a student card. This card is also your library card.

If you lose your card or need a replacement contact us at the Student Hub or the library and we will help.

STEP 3. Note this essential information

Your Library password is your date of birth backwards 

 

You can use your library password to:

access our resources online/off campus

Place reservations & renew your loans online

Check your library record

 

STEP 4. Validate your library membership & obtain your library password (PIN)

To validate your library membership:

  • Contact any of the Melbourne Polytechnic campus libraries
  • Off-campus students may make contact by phone, email, or chat
  • Advise library staff that you wish to setup your library membership
  • Returning students must re-validate their library membership when restarting study
  • Your default library pin is your date of birth in the format yyyymmdd
  • ‚ÄčYou may wish to test your new library password by going to the Library login screen
