Essential Guide for Students: Set Yourself Up

This guide intends to provide answers to the library-related questions most commonly asked by new students

Getting started as a library user

Your Student ID card is also your library and printing card. Remember to bring your student ID with you whenever you're on campus. 

From the Library website, you can log into My Library Account to:

  • Check your library record
  • Place reservations
  • Renew your loans online before the due date
  • Change your library password

To log in use your student number ie. s1234567 and your password will be your birthday YYYYMMDD unless you have changed it.

 

Important: Your library account password is different to all other passwords you use at Melbourne Polytechnic. If you are having trouble accessing your library account contact the library for help.

Come into any campus Library or Student Hub

to get your Student ID card


Student Portal login

Student Portal login:

  • Use your student number ie. s1234567 and birthday backwards YYYYMMDD unless you have changed password.
  • On the student portal you will find information about your course, view your assessment marks and check your timetable
