To access any of these resources, simply select the Databases A-Z link on the Library website.

You will need to login to these resources using your staff or student login.

E-books

The Library provides access to thousands of ebooks to support curriculum, including e-textbooks where available.

Ebooks can be either read online or downloaded if needed, and searching for ebooks is made easy with the option of selecting only ebooks from the Library's catalogue.  

Simply select Ebooks from the search bar and search for a title, subject or author.

Specialist databases

The database below provide access to magazines, films including documentaries, and Australian industry information.

Flipster provides access to full text digital magazines on many subjects including gardening, art, music, photography and more.

Kanopy provides access to streaming videos on subjects relevant to Melbourne Polytechnic courses including education, art, health, humanities and science.

IBISWorld is a source of current reports on Australian industries including management consulting, agribusiness, accounting services, engineering and architecture.  Marketline provides access to company profiles of thousands of major international companies.  The Company and Industry information guide provides further information, including how to access IBISWorld and Marketline.

LinkedIn Learning features thousands of videos including self-paced software tutorials, and professional and business skills.
