FindIt: Start Here

To use FindIt follow these simple steps

1. Brainstorm keywords
2. Search with FindIt
3. Review results

Reviewing the results will lead to one of these outcomes:

• You're happy with the results: choose which items to read
• The results list is too long: use the filters to narrow down the results
• The results are just not right: start again with new keywords

FindIt allows you to search across the library catalogue, online databases, and collections to locate journal articles, books, ebooks, DVDs, CDs, and other items in the Melbourne Polytechnic library collection.

A Findit search will include much of the library collection:

• eBooks
• journal articles
• print books

Some databases cannot be searched by findit@

• Plant File
• IBIS World
• Australian Standards
• Linkedin Learning
• Kanopy

Access content in these databases through Databases A-Z

We don't have everything in the MP library. If you find a print book, journal article or book chapter that we don't have you can request the item through interlibrary loan. 

A pdf copy of journal articles and book chapters will be emailed to you.

Print books will be delivered to your chosen MP library branch.
