Online safety is about maximising your security when using the internet to reduce the risks of criminals obtaining:
Protect your personal and private information particularly when using online banking, social media, or whenever you are asked to submit information online.
• Password must be a minimum of 12 characters in length (includes spaces)
• MP strongly recommends using a passphrase instead of a password
• Passphrases are easier to remember and more secure
• Example passphrase “sun blue cat” (do not use this exact phrase)
Important note for personal devices: If you’re connected to wifi@MP on your phone, laptop or tablet, once you have changed your password, you’ll need to forget the network and reconnect using your new password. Follow this how-to guide by ICT.
