Architecture: Accessing ebooks & Australian standards

This guide provides links to resources on architecture and the built environment.

Australian standards

Australian standards are available free of charge to Melbourne Polytechnic currently enrolled students and staff.

Standards can be accessed both on and off campus through the Library website.  You will be asked to login using your Library login and password; if you need assistance with Library login, please contact Library staff who will be able to help you.

Australian standards may be viewed online, downloaded and saved to a USB, or printed.  You are not permitted to email standards as this is not authorised by our licence.  For details on how to access Australian standards, and what is permissible and prohibited with standards, please view the Library guide Australian Standards Online.

As a student, and as a future architect, maintaining your professional skills is critical.  Whether those skills relate to the latest software, such as Autocad, or professional skills such as project management, LinkedIn Learning videos can provide you with self-paced learning options to retain currency in your profession.

LinkedIn Learning is freely accessible to currently enrolled Melbourne Polytechnic students and staff, with access through the Library website.  All you require to create an account and login is your Library login details - Library staff can assist if you're unsure about your login.  Below are some examples of videos available to you from LinkedIn Learning.

For information on how to create a LinkedIn Learning account, and access free videos, please see the library guide.
