Which version should I install?

Melbourne Polytechnic Library recommends using a combination of Zotero Connector on either Chrome, Firefox or Safari and Zotero 5.0 for Windows. (Versions for macOS and Linux are also available.)

To download both items, go to https://www.zotero.org/download/

 

Do I need a Zotero account?

Only if you wish to :

  1. Store your references across multiple computers.
  2. Create a group to share references and documents.
  3. Have free access to the Zotero support forums

There is no cost in setting up a Zotero account.

Zotero in the Library

Zotero for students


Zotero can only be installed on a student's personal device. You cannot install Zotero on any machine in the Libraries PC labs.

 

Zotero for Library staff

Staff can install Zotero for Firefox and the MS Word plugin on their staff computer but cannot install the standalone version of Zotero.
